Running Clinics & Walking Programs
Heart Strong Fitness provides running and walking clinics in the Spring and Fall. We have programs for all types of runners and walkers:
- Couch to 5km 12 week Program
- Couch to 10km 12 week Program
- We are Runner's Monthly Run Program (Monday 6:30pm Trail, Thursday 6:00am SeaWalk, Friday 6:30am Strength)
- Guided Trail Hikes
Our clinics include a 30 minute initial consult and pre-program aerobic fitness test to assess your current fitness level and create an individualized program. Our learn to run 5km is a popular clinic that provides a safe and easy introduction to the sport of running. Various education topics are provided throughout the clinic to promote a long term habit and prevent injury.
Our next couch to 5km and 10km programs will be held in September 2018. Guided Trail Hikes start May 8, 2018, Tuesday's 12:30-2:00pm 6 weeks for $60 + GST We Are Runner's Monthly Program is ongoing registration $50/month

The "couch to 5kms" at Heart Strong Fitness was everything I hoped for and more! This program is set up for success and is for true running beginners! Throughout this program we received education from a dietician, a kinesiologist, a physiotherapist, a long distant runner to name a few - along with a tonne of useful info about strength training geared towards runners, recovery and stretching. Thanks to Robyn and Sarah for all the coaching and training - these two are some of the most positive and supportive people I know.
